Tight end is the last of the even semi-important positions in college fantasy football. Finding a TE-friendly offense headed up by a coach that isn’t afraid to feature the big man, especially in the red zone, is huge when searching for the right TE on draft day. Like every position, tight end has a few “big-name” top players, but be sure to keep an eye out for potential sleepers who can come from a wide variety of schools. CFBDynasty just released their rankings for the 2021 CFB season, and they provided SN readers with a sneak peek of their top tight ends.
Charlie Kolar leads the CFBDynasty TE rankings. The 6-6, 260-pound big man is in Kyle Pitts, but he puts up big numbers and can run well after the catch in a balanced Iowa State attack. Quarterback Brock Purdy will find his favorite guy on the field for chunk plays. At No. 3, Arik Gilbert was once the No. 5 overall prospect in the nation, per 24/7Sports. After transferring to Georgia from LSU, he’s in line for an explosive breakout season.
Every conference except the MAC is represented in our top-25 rankings, with none having more than four tight ends on the list. The position is well balanced across all conferences, so it’s important to be aware of all the possible options in the country.
